THIS IS MY STORY
Rina Oh is a painter, illustrator, photographer, film maker, independent curator, and public arts sculptor. She studied fashion design and illustration at Parsons School of Design from 2000-2002 and classically trained in sculpture, research, drawing and painting with renowned resident sculptor at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine- Greg Wyatt as a young apprentice from the years 1995-1999. Her work is heavily influenced by Wyatt’s spiritual realism, through years of being nurtured in his method. She completed the artists residency at Newington Cropsey in Hastings on the Hudson, at the Academy of Art located at Jasper Cropsey’s Ever Rest from 1999-2002, continuing her training with Wyatt who’s the Director of the Academy of Art. She studied at the Art Students League under the ceramics instructor Yasumitsu Morito from 2017-2018.
